Courtney Kistler officially founded RAW in June of 2006, but began its growing process over five years ago.  Courtney wanted to create natural products that were earth-based and vegetarian friendly.  With these goals in mind Courtney has created a product line that is not only vegan, but uses only 100% pure essential oils to blend unique aromas.  Most importantly, Courtney wanted to create products that were safe for sensitive skin. 

The Sensitive Type soap and therapuetic bath salts were specifically created to help soothe Courtney and her sister's eczema, "a particular type of inflammatory reaction of the skin in which there are typically vesicles (tiny blister-like raised areas) in the first stage followed by erythema (reddening), edema (swelling), papules (bumps), and crusting of the skin followed, finally, by lichenification (thickening) and scaling of the skin. Eczema characteristically causes itching and burning of the skin" (www.medterms.com, 2007).  Courtney and her sister, Katie, have had eczema since childhood.  Over the years, both sisters have had a terrible time finding products that did not irritate their skin.  Courtney and Katie use all of RAW's products, and have only experienced positive results.
